Frequently Asked Questions

1) Do you only work with musicians?
- Not at all. We love music and it is definitely a passion of ours but we work with creatives in all areas.

2) Do you offer wedding or event videography?
- As of 2021, FG does accept wedding and personal event contracts. Further details can be discussed via a discovery call.

3) Do I have to sign a contract or any kind of release form?
- Yes. Unfortunately, there is no way around this. We understand contracts can be nerve wracking to some but they are put in place to both protect you and us. You will be given every opportunity to review the contract and ask questions before signing. Media releases are very simple. They are merely written acknowledgements that you agreed to be on camera. If you are under the age of 18, all contracts and releases must be co-signed by a parent or guardian.

4) What am I paying for when I hire Frosted Green?
-
Well firstly, hopefully you are interested in us because you like our work and us by extension. Outside of that, the price that we extend to you before the contract begins will take several things into account. Since we operate on per-project basis, we have to consider the amount time your project will take to shoot and edit, unless an arrangement is made with the client where a flat rate is deemed more suitable. Other cost considerations include, but are not limited to, the cost of hiring crew, any rental fees for gear or locations that are specially requested, and travel expenses.

5) Do you own your own equipment?
- Yes, FG owns all of it’s own equipment. If the client requests a specific camera or lens that we do not have on hand, we are happy to turn to a rental house for assistance.

6) Will you provide RAW footage and project files upon client’s request?
- No. Any footage we shoot FG owns the rights to as stated in our contract.
If a client would like to own the RAW footage, we must come to a fair financial agreement for the purchase of said video files.
We do not typically share project files or credit with other creators unless a prior arrangement is made.
The reason for this more often than not is brand consistency.

7) Do you offer animation services?
- We do lyric videos for musicians all the time!
There are limitations to what we can do (for example, we can't recreate Thanos for your Marvel fan film), but we can provide animation services
for such things as logos, intros, and promotional content.

8) How long will it take to complete my project?

- Generally, we like to complete most projects within 2 weeks to a month. That said, the timeframe will heavily depend on the type of project, the scope, and scheduling availability of us, you (the client), the talent, and crew (if needed). This question will 100% be addressed in our pre-production discussions.

9) Do you travel for jobs and opportunities?
- Short answer, yes. If it is deemed necessary during our discovery call that travel will be needed for the completion of your project, we will happily make the trip. Travel expenses will be taken into account and discussed with you prior to any commitment on either end.

10) What payment methods do you accept?
-
When a job reaches completion, you will be sent a watermarked video file and an invoice. Once the invoice is completed and the funds have cleared, we send over the clean video file. We currently only accept cash, Venmo, CashApp, and PayPal. Due to new legislation, all business transactions made on digital payment apps will be visible to the IRS. These are taxable transactions.

11) Can FG be hired for just filming or post-production?

- Of course. If you have footage already that needs editing, we'd be happy to work on it for you. We may ask you some preliminary questions so that we can best provide you with the services you need. On the other hand, while we have taken on jobs for which we have only done the filming we now require a specialized contract which protects both the client and our brand.

12) Can I ask for changes to my video?
-
With every project, the client automatically receives two revisions. This means that when you receive the completed edited video, you have two opportunities to make any changes you feel are needed to get the product to where you want it to be. After those two revisions are used, further changes can be requested but you will be charged by our hourly rate.

13) Do you make original or scripted content?
We are here to serve! If you have a film that needs a videographer or an editor, let’s discuss.
As for FG original content, we are often forced to call this a bucket list item, but yes we do.
Original content is something we have pursued in the past but it often falls to the wayside as our focus is drawn back to our contracted work.
That said, we are always open to pitches and concepts. If you'd like to work with us on your next big idea we'd love to hear it.

14) Does FG offer refunds?
- In most situations, no. Unless there is no discernible way the project can be completed, we would prefer to find a solution that allows for you to still receive a useable and completed product at no extra cost to you. These solutions could come by way of reshoots or free revisions.

15) Where did the name Frosted Green Productions come from?
- This is proprietary information!
